Linking leaders to explore creative resolutions to community issues

IMPACT Connections provides facilitation, technical support and training for community organizations and ventures.  By linking emerging grassroots leaders to the network of established leaders, the program builds relationships across diverse sectors in the community.  The result is collaborative action to solve community problems.

• The IMPACT Awards are presented each year to leaders in the community who take risks and act to improve the quality of life for all.

• Youth Voice Collaborative working in partnership with five youth service providers, Lasting IMPACT graduates and a local family fund, IMPACT is developing an annual youth leadership program primarily for minority and immigrant youth who feel disconnected from community life.

• Town Hall Meetings for All are hosted by IMPACT working in close collaboration with a community, nonprofit or government group.  The goal of the meeting is to facilitate a participatory dialogue and process with community members on a specific subject needing their direct engagement.

• Third Option Project works with business and other leaders in Silver Spring to explore the possibilities for creative “Third Options” to address the complex problems facing our diverse community.
