Directions to main office

IMPACT Silver Spring’s main office is located at 1313 East-West Highway between Georgia Avenue and Colesville Road. We are in the large NOAA federal government office complex directly across the street from the Blair Shops (Giant, CVS, Caribou Coffee).

Look for the large bronze hand sculpture on East-West Highway; the entrance to the building is directly behind it.

We are on the lobby level of NOAA. As you come in the main entrance, the office is on the right side of the lobby behind glass doors.

By Car:

From Maryland/ Virginia : Take 495 towards Silver Spring and take exit 30B Colesville Rd. (Rt. 29) towards Silver Spring.

Follow Colesville Road, approximately 2-3 miles, until you reach East- West Highway (Route 410) and turn left. After you go through a set of lights, take a left in to the second parking garage (after the large bronze hand sculpture).

Parking:

A public parking garage with metered parking is available in the building.

NOAA is a federal agency and you may have to present ID to the security official at the entrance, as well as have a possible search of your trunk.

Parking can be very difficult between 9:00am – noon; during lunch spaces open up.

Parking is free after 7:00pm and on weekends. Parking is approximately 60 cents per hour.

Additional public parking is located up the street; make a right at the first traffic light for metered street parking.

Note: Do not park at the Giant lot across the street - you will be ticketed or towed.

Directions from Parking Garage:

Find stairs to PL floor and follow signs to Plaza Lobby. We are on the left side of the lobby behind the glass doors.

If you take the elevator, go to the lobby. IMPACT’s office is are on the left side.

By Metro:

Take the Red-Line to the Silver Spring station. Go around the station and under the overpass (you will see penguin art on the walls) and walk towards the intersection of Colesville Rd and East- West Highway. Take a left at East-West highway and start walking up the incline until you see the large bronze hand sculpture – that is the entrance to the building.

Directions to Sligo office

• Take exit 30B, Route 29 South/Colesville Road towards Silver Spring.
• Merge into left lane on Colesville Road South.
• Turn left onto Sligo Creek Parkway.
• Turn right onto Piney Branch Road.
• Turn right onto Sligo Avenue.
• The IMPACT office is located at 501 Sligo Avenue on the right.

From Washington, DC:

• Go North on 13th Street. 13th Street crosses Georgia Avenue and becomes Piney Branch Road.
• Continue on Piney Branch Road, cross Route 410 and pass a middle school on the right.
• Turn left onto Sligo Avenue.
• IMPACT office is located at 501 Sligo Avenue on the right.

From East-West Highway going West:

• Take East-West Highway heading west into Takoma Park. Continue on East-West Highway through Takoma Park.
• Turn right on Piney Branch Road (the first traffic light after crossing Maple Avenue).
• Turn left onto Sligo Avenue.
• IMPACT office is located at 501 Sligo Avenue on the right.

From Bethesda, Maryland:

• Take East-West Highway heading east.
• Cross Georgia Avenue.
• Turn left into Fenton Street (First light after Georgia Avenue).
• Turn right onto Sligo Avenue.
• IMPACT office is located at 501 Sligo Avenue on the right.
